According to the Decree of the Government of Georgia in 2018, changes were made to the “Approval of the Technical Regulations for Building Materials”. The list of reinforcement categories allowed on the Georgian market has been published: B400B, B500A, B500B, B500C, B550B. The specificity of the product lies in its chemical composition, mechanical properties, weight and its welding. The carbon equivalent index Ceq should be calculated using the following formula:

Ceq = C + Mn / 6 + (Cr + Mo + V) / 5 + (Ni + Cu) / 15

where the symbols of chemical elements indicate their composition, expressed as a percentage by weight. Therefore, category A material is not accredited and its use in construction activities is not allowed, since it cannot meet all of the above criteria.
